Coconut Oil Hydrogenated Hydrogenated Cocos Nucifera Oil

What it is

A processed form of coconut oil in which the naturally occurring double bonds have been chemically saturated (hydrogenated), giving a harder, more stable, whiter fat used as an emollient and texture-builder in balms, sticks, and creams. It behaves similarly to regular coconut oil on skin but with improved oxidative stability.

How it works

The saturated triglycerides sit on the skin surface and in the upper stratum corneum, softening skin and reducing transepidermal water loss like other occlusive plant fats.
