What it is
An anionic, ethoxylated sulfate surfactant (12 moles of ethylene oxide) used as the primary cleansing/foaming agent in this water-washable mascara base.
How it works
Its hydrophilic sulfate head and lipophilic tail emulsify oils and pigment and lift them off lashes when the mascara is rinsed with water, while also generating light foam.
